Professional Car Smoke Odor Removal Service In Dallas

Using different tools and specific products to reduce and eliminate the smoke odor

In-depth Interior Cleaning and Odor Removal Steps:

The process we use for this service is similar to our Full Interior Cleaning, but it is more intensive and will take more than 3-4 hours to complete. To proceed, you will need to drop off your vehicle at my shop location in Dallas Texas, where it will stay for at least 2 days to ensure that the job is done correctly.

This service is not just a quick solution that masks odors with fragrance for a few days or weeks. Instead, our goal is to reduce and eliminate the buildup of nicotine and tobacco residues left behind from smoking in the interior. This way, we can effectively clear the odor and return the vehicle to you without the smell returning.

The success of this process will depend on the condition of your vehicle; however, we are confident in our methods. We can arrange a time and date for you to inspect the vehicle and discuss the various options available for reducing or completely removing the odor.

In some cases, our techniques—such as shampooing, steaming, and scrubbing—may not be sufficient to eliminate the odor entirely. This is why we specialize in effective odor removal processes. If you have only a mild smell in your interior due to years without cleaning, our Full Interior Cleaning may be the appropriate choice for your needs.

Removing smoke odor from a car's interior is quite challenging because the smell permeates throughout the space. Nicotine and tobacco residues can become trapped in the seats, upholstery, seatbelts, and other interior surfaces.

The extent to which we can eliminate this odor depends on two main factors: how long the vehicle has been smoked in and how long it has been sitting idle afterward. If the smoke odor has been present for an extended period or if the vehicle was smoked in heavily, it will require a more intensive cleaning process to reduce the smell.

In cases of severe and prolonged exposure to smoke, the likelihood of completely removing the odor diminishes.

Sometimes, it may be more practical to replace the fabric materials, such as carpets, headliners, and floor mats, rather than trying to clean them. After many years of smoke buildup, cleaning these materials can become more costly than simply replacing them

Smoke Odor Removal Process

1. Thoroughly Vacuumed: All interior surfaces will be vacuumed like in between the seats, carpets, floor mats and even the headliner to remove build up

2. Scrubbing Plastics & Leather: Using a smoke degreaser to clean the plastic, leather and rubber surfaces will be cleaned to remove the build of tobacco

3. Shampooing Fabric Surfaces: With specific tools like our hot water extractor and our tobacco specific cleaner we will shampoo the carpet, floor mats, seat belts and if we can the headliner

4. Clean The Windows & Mirrors: Build up will happen overtime to the windows so every interior window and mirror will be cleaned to remove residue and create a clear view

5. Drying Interior: Before we move on the last step, we need to ensure that the interior is 100% dry. If not dried properly then it can effect the final step. We will place fans to make sure the interior is dry.

6. Ozone Treatment: With our ozone machine, we are able to leave it on for 2 to 5 hours to remove as much odor as possible. Depending on condition it may need to be repeated.

Replacing Your Air Filter

In order for this process to go smoothly, it is necessary to replace your cabin air filter with a new one. Keeping the old in will not help because the moment you turn on your A/C it will release all the trapped smoke odor that was left in the filter and will blow all over your interior and we will start again.

The longest part is not cleaning but majority of the time it is the ozone treatment to finish and the many times we need to repeat the process to remove the odor.

NOTICE: This service requires at least 2 days at our shop due to the length of the service!

Smoke Odor Removal FAQs

  • Would the odor be 100% removed?

The success of our odor removal process largely depends on the state of the vehicle's interior and how long it has been exposed to smoke.

Our primary objective is to eliminate as much of the unpleasant odor as we can, striving for complete removal if possible.

After we complete the treatment, if any traces of the odor persist, we will gladly perform an additional ozone treatment at no extra charge to ensure your vehicle smells fresh and clean once again.

  • Do you use specific products to remove smoke odors?

In our odor removal service, we employ a range of specialized products and advanced equipment specifically designed to tackle smoke odors.

Our approach is focused on neutralizing, reducing, and ultimately eliminating these persistent smells. Unlike our interior cleaning solutions, which are intended for general cleaning purposes, we utilize targeted chemicals that effectively break down odor-causing compounds.

This careful selection of products ensures that we achieve outstanding results, leaving your space fresh and free from unwanted smoke odors.

  • Do you remove seats?

We do not remove any seats or carpeting from the vehicle during our smoke odor removal process. In some cases, we might consider it depending on the vehicle's condition, but generally, we have all the necessary tools and products to clean every crack and crevice effectively. In 99% of the cases where we perform smoke odor removal, we do not need to remove the seats.

  • Do I smell the chemicals when the service is done?

We use smoke odor removal products that have a pleasant scent; however, most of the smell will dissipate by the time you receive the vehicle.

What you may notice is the ozone treatment scent we've applied, which can resemble the smell of a pool or chlorine.

This is completely normal and safe. After 5-6 weeks, the odor will fade away. We recommend ventilating the vehicle as much as possible after the ozone treatment.
